Episode Fifteen - Ellen Christina pt. 1
Show Notes

What is a musical theatre major doing in a filmmaking podcast? Lol!!! Well, her written and directed recital/musical which was to be performed on stage in front of a live audience had to be re-worked/re-imagined  as a long form music video (thanks a lot, Covid). Hmm, a musical theatre program mandates their students must do a stage to screen adaptation - and btw, none of these students had any filmmaking experience. Nor did the University have the resources to provide a quick Filmmaking 101 course. They were on their own. One of those students is here, from Australia, Ellen Christina. In a 2 part interview, she tells Dave about the experience of being thrown to the lions and coming out with a stronger appreciation for the craft of filmmaking. She has been gracious and shared her video "ME AND THE DBT" with us. The link is below. As you watch, please, keep in mind, this woman had zero filmmaking experience. Not to mention, she's bringing attention to a condition she battles daily -
Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Actually, this may be the most inspiring interview I've done for FAFP. Enjoy!
